When you are losing more hair than you would like, you would want to do everything possible to get it right. It hurts your self-esteem and confidence and ends up making you feel you aren’t as good looking or presentable as before. Today, there are many treatments in the medical field that can help you get out of the condition, but one of the most widely appreciated ones remain Scalp Micropigmentation. This blog would mention all the benefits of SMP and let you know why you should visit a doctor for a consultation today.

What is Scalp Micropigmentation?

Scalp Micropigmentation is an aesthetic hair restoration procedure where natural pigments are applied to the dermal layer of the scalp to give the illusion of a full-volume hair. The main aim of SMP is to create hair-like lines on the scalp, similar to that of semi-permanent makeup, but in a tinier and layered form in different shades to give a natural-looking definition and depth to the hair.

The eligibility of Scalp Micropigmentation revolves around people who are suffering from:

  1. Diffuse thinning
  2. Male and Female pattern baldness
  3. Alopecia
  4. Bad FUT Scars
  5. Hair loss due to medication side-effects such as chemotherapy

What are the benefits of going for Scalp Micropigmentation?

Opting for scalp micropigmentation India can be the best solution for those who want to conceal their hair loss or get a buzz cut look, all the while waiting for the re-growth of new hair. That is why, before making for the big decision, you must know all about the benefits of the treatment. Some of them are:

  1. No False Claims: SMP is meant to create the illusion of a fuller head, and the results of the same are visible right after the treatment is complete. Unlike other products in the market which make claims which they more often than not cannot keep up with, Scalp Micropigmentation does what it says.
  1. Hides Imperfections: One of the biggest advantages of SMP is that it hides all the imperfections on your scalp with natural results. Even if you had undergone a FUT (now Linear Excision Method) transplant earlier and were left with an ugly scar mark, SMP will ensure that the scar isn’t visible. You can get a buzz-cut or shaved look if you are bald, giving you a new style statement as well.
  1. Safety: As a treatment, scalp micropigmentation uses no chemicals in it, and this means that there are no side effects to the same as well. SMP also doesn’t require any incision that ensures that there is no risk of infections as well. A local anaesthetic is used by the professional so that the patient does not feel pain during the procedure.
  1. Quick: The hair tattoo procedure is simple and is complete in only a few sessions, ensure that you would have to spend only a few hours to get a natural look, according to your concerns. The results of the same are visible from the first sitting itself. Since this a non-invasive procedure, the healing time of the same is also fast, allowing you to get back to your regular life in a day or two.
  1. Maintenance: The most intriguing fact of SMP as a procedure is that it involves very little maintenance. Since this doesn’t involve any real hair, you would not require any expensive hair products. You can maintain this look quite easily for years, and the pigmentation will not fall out.

I have to say, my issue with hair thinning was turning to a problem for me and I didn’t want to go for a surgery as of yet. But that is when I came across this blog and learnt what scalp micropigmentation is all about. It taught me about the benefits of the procedure and how it can turn the condition to my favour. I have to give this to Twachaa and Dr Saraswat for writing this blog in a way that I found relatable, and I am sure most people suffering from the same condition would do so as well. I am going to book a consultation with the doctor and see how I can turn this condition around using scalp micropigmentation.
